In October 2017 the Winter collection will be launched in all IKEA stores. Inspired by the rugged beauty of Iceland, it lets you add a touch of nature to your home. Here you’ll find a wide range of products in natural materials with warm, muted tones. Things that make holiday decoration and gift-giving easier and more rewarding than ever, with a timeless feel that works regardless of the season or occasion.

La colección VÄSSAD fue diseñada en la propia fábrica de IKEA. Los diseñadores Knut Hagberg y Marianne Hagberg se inspiraron en lo que vieron a su alrededor -métodos de producción, materiales, la experiencia de los trabajadores- y en los productos icónicos de IKEA, entre ellos, los éxitos de ventas de los 80. El resultado es una colección que mezcla materiales naturales y un marcado aire industrial. 

The VÄSSAD collection has a real industrial feel which is hardly surprising as much of the design and development took place on the factory floor. Designers Knut Hagberg and Marianne Hagberg were inspired by their surroundings, the production methods and the materials. Not to mention the impressive knowledge of the workers. More inspiration came from fantastic IKEA products of the past, including some big sellers from the 1980s. The result is a collection with a raw and authentic look that works in any setting.
