ESPACIOS EXTERIORES | OUTDOOR SPACES

Hola a todos! Aunque parezca mentira, la primavera está a la vuelta de la esquina y hoy os traigo unas ideas para decorar vuestra terraza o espacios exteriores. 

Hello everyone! Although it still doesn’t feel like so, spring is just around the corner so let’s talk about how to make the most of your terrace and outdoor spaces.

Lo primera de todo, tenemos que ver el tamaño del espacio que vamos a decorar, si es un balcón o una terraza de un apartamento o si tenemos un jardín de una casa. Por otro lado, tenemos que pensar en el uso que le queramos dar, es decir, si queremos que sea un rincón de relax, si lo vamos a utilizar de noche, con amigos o de forma privada. A continuación os muestro algunos elementos que podéis utilizar para decorar un espacio exterior.

First of all, we have to think about the size of the space that we are going to decorate, whether it is a balcony or a terrace of an apartment or if we have a yard of a house. Second, define the functionality of it, meaning if we want it to be a relaxing space, if we are going to use it for nightlife, with friends or privately. Here are some elements that you can use to decorate an outdoor space.

MESAS Y SILLAS | TABLES AND CHAIRS

Si te gusta comer al aire libre deberías buscar muebles de comedor exterior que te gusten y sean resistentes. Si no tienes tanto espacio para un comedor, puedes crear un espacio muy acogedor con una mesita y unas sillas creando una zona de lectura o de relax.

If you like having lunch or dinner outdoors you should look for outside dining furniture that you like and are sturdy. If you don't have enough space for a dining area, you can create a very cozy space with a small table and chairs creating a reading or relaxing area.

LUCES | LIGHTS

Si has pensado usar el espacio para cenas o fiestas, no debería faltar una iluminación adecuada. Por ejemplo unos farolillos o unas bombillas colgadas por el techo pueden crear un espacio muy romántico y muy acogedor. También podemos elegir elementos que tengan luz propia, como asientos o taburetes y le dan un toque original al espacio.

Don't forget about the lighting! For example, lanterns or light bulbs hanging from the ceiling can create a very romantic and welcoming space. We can also choose elements that have their own light, such as seats or stools and give an original touch to the space.

HAMACAS | HAMMOCKS

Una hamaca de cuerda puede ser un elemento que le puede dar mucha personalidad al espacio. Ideales para echarse la siesta o para relajarse leyendo un libro.

PLANTAS | PLANTS

En una terraza o en un jardín es muy importante tener plantas y una manera muy original de colocarlas es eligiendo macetas con diseño.

BARBACOAS | BBQ

Si tenemos espacio y queremos crear una pequeña cocina para hacer cenas o barbacoas en verano, podemos colocar una pequeña barbacoa o si no tenemos tanto espacio podemos comprar una barbacoa portátil. Este será el elemento estrella de tu terraza.
