Hola a todos! Como bien sabéis, el color puede afectar seriamente a nuestro estado de ánimo y a nuestras decisiones. Muchas veces queremos dar ese toque de color a nuestro hogar pero no sabemos cómo. Tranquilos, en el post de hoy os explico el significado de algunos colores y cómo aplicarlos al interiorismo.

Hello everyone! As you already know, color can seriously affect our mood and our decisions. Many times we want to give that touch of personal and carismatic color to our home but we do not know how. Don’t worry, in today's post we talk about the meaning of some colors and how to apply them in interior design.

ROJO | RED

Naturalmente, el rojo significa "peligro" y también está relacionado con el fuego y la sangre. Es el color de la pasión y el poder, por ello, se recomiendo su uso con moderación.

Of course, red means "danger" and is also related to fire and blood. It is the color of passion and power, therefore, I recommend using it but always with moderation.

NARANJA | ORANGE 

El color naranja representa un color brillante, juvenil y divertido. Dependiendo del tono, el naranja puede generar una serie de sentimientos en los seres humanos, como por ejemplo, suele estar asociado con el calor o con la temporada de otoño.

En el interiorismo, el naranja se utiliza para resaltar características específicas, tales como labranza, cajones individuales o puertas de armario.

The orange color represents brightness, youthful and it’s a fun color. Depending on the tone, orange can generate a number of feelings in humans, as for example, is usually associated with warmth and with the Autumn season. 

In interior design, orange is used to highlight specific features, such as individual drawers or cupboard doors.

AMARILLO | YELLOW

Amarillo es por el color más brillante que puedes encontrar. El amarillo nos recuerda instintivamente al Sol, y está asociado con el verano, la frescura y la juventud. 

El amarillo se suele utilizar a menudo para decorar el dormitorios juveniles, pero lo malo que tiene es que se puede ensuciar con rapidez.

Yellow is by far the brightest color you can find. It instinctively remind us of our Sun, and is associated with Summer, freshness and youthfulness.

Use yellow to decorate your child's bedroom, but keep in mind that yellow can get dirty fairly quickly.

VERDE | GREEN

El verde es uno de los colores más naturales, últimamente es muy utilizado por las empresas para expresar su compromiso con el medio ambiente. Pero al ser humano el verde puede aportar calma, paz y bienestar.

En el interiorismo, se puede utilizar para traer una sensación natural a una espacio. Esto puede dar un ambiente tranquilo, perfecto para un dormitorio.

Green is one of the most natural colors, and has lately been widely used by companies to express their commitment with the environment. At home, green expresses calm, peace and well-being.

Green can be used to bring a natural feel to your room. This can give a calm overall atmosphere, perfect for a bedroom.

AZUL | BLUE

El azul es, por mucho, el más calmante de todos los colores, son el color del cielo y el mar, y sugiere un sentimiento de confianza y lealtad. Es por esta razón tal vez que es tan popular entre las empresas y las instituciones como los hospitales. Para el interiorismo, el azul puede crear una atmósfera tranquila. 

Blue is by far the most calming of all the colors, both the sky and sea are blue in color, and gives off a feeling of trust and loyalty. That’s perhaps the reason why it's so popular among companies and institutions such as hospitals. In interior design, blue can be used to create a calm atmosphere at home.

MORADO | PURPLE

El color morado o púrpura da significado a la abundancia, a la realeza y a la energía. La sabiduría y el misterio también vienen de la mano con estos rasgos, debido al poder dominante y la naturaleza de la nobleza. En el hogar, el morado puede complementar una habitación pasivamente decorada. 

Purple means wealth, royalty and power. Wisdom and mystery also come hand in hand with these traits, because of the overruling power and nature of nobility. At home, purple can supplement a passively decorated room.
